The 2015 Cruise with a Cause ride has chosen to support The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)

“The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), founded in 1918, is one of the oldest voluntary organizations in Canada. Each year, we provide direct service to more than 100,000 Canadians through the combined efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff across Canada in over 120 communities.

As a nation-wide, voluntary organization, the Canadian Mental Health Association promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness. The CMHA accomplishes this mission through advocacy, education, research and service.
CMHA branches across Canada provide a wide range of innovative services and supports to people who are experiencing mental illness and their families. These services are tailored to the needs and resources of the communities where they are based. One of the core goals of these services is to help people with mental illness develop the personal tools to lead meaningful and productive lives.”

    1. Hi Eric,
Edmonton is on our list of places to try and visit. It is a challenge to design an event and route that can best acheive the aims of the group (sponsors, charities, and riders). Edmonton was just a stretch too far this year… we will be keeping it on our list for the future, after all – our planning minion lives there.

  1. I can’t help thinking Cruise with a Cause was high jacked by Heartland this year and if thats what yawl want then yeah! I guess. I am a Heartland fan also but I loved the motorcycle “gang” and Don Macleod and more about THE RIDE. I only heard Graham talking about The Mental Illness part though Shaun jumped in once.Heartland headlined the welcome signs in the towns and well it just felt like more of a Heartland event for all those insatiable fans! I hope what ever path you guys take with Cruise with a Cause, its’ the one you want.Oh, and I always buy Fresh is Best tortilla chips now! Yum.

    1. Hi Linda,
sorry that it took so long to reply.
I wouldn’t necessarily state that it was hi-jacked by Heartland, it helped us use the Heartland celebrities to bring out fans, which increases awareness for a cause.

This is only our third year, and we are growing. We have bigger plans in 2016, that go “beyond Heartland” as Rob(the planner) likes to say.

  2. Me and a bunch of my friends love Heartland and we live in high river but we will be in school when you guys are doing your meet and greet. I was just wondering if there are any other times that u guys we be doing more.

  3. Hey Ty, Amy, Jack & Georgie: I’m following you all on the CWAC 2015. Saw the Periscope of Ty with Hello Kitty on Monday, you forgot gas Ty, what’s up with that? Anyway, Wanted you to know that I admire your commitment to drive for 50 miles in the rain on Monday, you are my kind a people. You all are totally awesome, keep up the good work, though I’m sure it’s not work you seem to enjoy it so much, I think its become a passion. I just love you people!
